Communities are on the front line when natural hazards hit. Aarhus Centres are key players in promoting community-based efforts to reduce disaster risks and the security-related impacts of natural hazards. They organize trainings and awareness-raising campaigns, support the local DRR plans, and encourage discussions and a dialogue aiming to increase the resilience of communities and societies.
