Empowering youth in environmental-related activities is a key activity carried out by the Aarhus Centres. This includes conducting information sessions and activities related to the main principles of Aarhus Convention with the involvement of school children and young teachers, community members, representatives of NGO’s and employees of state agencies. 

  • Aarhus Centre Alaverdi

    The Centre promotes access to information on environmental issues, public participation in decision-making processes and contributes to improving the process of environmental management in Armenia.

  • Aarhus Centre Bender

    The work of the Public Environmental Centre is dedicated to promoting the principles of the Aarhus Convention in Transdniestria (Moldova), through the development of dialogue between civil society, public authorities and the expert community on a wide range of environmental issues.
  • Aarhus Centre Bishkek

    The Aarhus Centre Bishkek ensures public access to information and the decision-making system, in order to ensure the rights of citizens to a healthy environment.

    The Aarhus Centre Minsk supports the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection of the Republic of Belarus in preparing legislation aimed at consolidating the principles of openness and transparency in environmental decision-making.
