The environmental impacts of mining and other extractive industries often lead to concerns of the local population, in particular when information is not accessible. Aarhus Centres play an important role in disseminating information regarding mining and the extractive industries. They hold training sessions, workshops and meetings and ensure public participation in the decision-making process by creating a platform for co-operation among key players.
